Open Access and Author Fees

JSBE is an open-access journal, making all articles freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription fees. All articles are published exclusively in English to facilitate accessibility to a global audience. To support the open-access model, JSBE charges a publication fee upon acceptance of manuscripts. However, no additional fees are levied on readers or subscribing institutions.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work under Creative Commons licensing, which facilitates unrestricted access and reuse while safeguarding authors' intellectual property rights.

Peer Review Process

JSBE employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process, ensuring that all submissions are evaluated based on academic merit alone. The Editor and Editorial Board conduct an initial selection, followed by anonymous reviews by experts in the field. Authors receive comprehensive feedback, and revisions are encouraged to enhance the quality of submissions. Accepted articles are published in the next available issue.

Publication Frequency

JSBE is published bimonthly, issuing one volume every two months for a total of six volumes annually. Each article is assigned a DOI, registered with CrossRef, ensuring its permanence and accessibility for citation.
