To evaluate the effect of moxibustion on children's growth and development and explore its underlying mechanisms. A total of 60 children with growth and development retardation were randomly divided into a moxibustion treatment group and a control group. The treatment group received moxi-bustion at specific acupoints, while the control group received no interven-tion. The height, weight, and bone age of the children were measured be-fore and after treatment, and relevant hormones and growth factors were detected. After treatment, the height, weight, and bone age of the children in the moxibustion treatment group were significantly improved compared with those in the control group. The levels of growth hormones and insulin-like growth factor-1 in the treatment group were also significantly increased. Moxibustion can effectively promote children's growth and development, and its mechanism may be related to the regulation of growth hormones and growth factors.
