The Journal of Global Trends in Social Science (JGTSS) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ensuring that all published research is original and properly attributed.

Plagiarism Prevention Policy

  • All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism screening using Turnitin, a leading plagiarism detection software. Turnitin compares the manuscript against a vast database of academic publications, online content, and other resources to identify overlapping or unoriginal content.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Copying text, data, images, or ideas from other sources without proper citation.
  2. Republishing one’s own previously published work without appropriate acknowledgment (self-plagiarism).
  3. Paraphrasing significant portions of another’s work without proper attribution.

Actions in Case of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the submission or publication process:

  1. Before Acceptance:
    • The manuscript will be rejected immediately, and the author(s) will be informed of the reasons for rejection.
  2. After Publication:
    • The article will be retracted, with a formal retraction notice issued, detailing the nature of the plagiarism.
    • The author(s) may be prohibited from submitting to JGTSS in the future.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that:

  • Their submissions are entirely original works.
  • Proper attribution is provided for all referenced content.
  • Their manuscript has not been submitted or published elsewhere.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to confirm that their work is original and adheres to these ethical standards.

Commitment to Ethical Publishing

The Journal of Global Trends in Social Science (JGTSS) follows the ethical guidelines outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We are committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and fairness in all aspects of the publishing process.
