Information For Authors

International Journal of Advanced Science (IJAS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in science, engineering, and interdisciplinary technology. We welcome contributions from researchers across disciplines including materials science, environmental engineering, life sciences, artificial intelligence, and applied physics.

This guide provides detailed instructions to ensure a smooth and transparent submission process.

  1. Scope and Aims

IJAS publishes original and interdisciplinary research in areas including but not limited to:
• Environmental science and sustainability
• Nanomaterials and advanced material engineering
• Computational modeling, AI, and machine learning
• Applied physics and chemistry
• Biotechnology and bioengineering
• Mathematics and quantitative methods in science
Submissions should offer new theoretical insights, empirical evidence, or methodological innovation relevant to advancing science and technology.

  1. Manuscript Types

IJAS accepts the following submission types:
Original Research Articles (5,000–10,000 words): Empirical, theoretical, or methodological investigations.
Review Articles (6,000–12,000 words): Critical syntheses of existing research in a field.
Short Communications (2,000–4,000 words): Concise reports of significant findings.
Technical Notes (2,000–5,000 words): Descriptions of novel experimental techniques, datasets, or analytical tools.
Book Reviews (1,500–3,000 words): Analytical reviews of recent scientific publications.

Word limits include references, footnotes, tables, and abstract. Exceptions require prior editorial approval.

  1. Manuscript Preparation

3.1 Formatting Requirements

  • Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX format.
    • Use Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced.
    • Set 1-inch (2.54 cm) page margins on all sides.
    • Place figures and tables at the end of the document with in-text references.

3.2 Standard Structure

  1. Title Page (title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author email)
  2. Abstract (150–250 words)
  3. Keywords (3–6 terms)
  4. Main Text (structured as IMRaD for research articles; flexible for reviews/notes)
  5. Acknowledgments (if applicable)
  6. Funding Statement
  7. Conflict of Interest Statement
  8. References
  9. Tables and Figures (with captions, at the end)
  1. Referencing Style

IJAS follows the Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date format) unless otherwise specified.

Include DOIs or persistent links for online sources wherever available.

  1. Submission and Peer Review Process

5.1 Submission

Submissions must be made through the IJAS submission system or emailed to contact@press.jandoo.ac and include:
• An anonymized manuscript file
• A separate title page with full author information
• A cover letter summarizing the article’s contribution and relevance to IJAS

5.2 Peer Review

  • IJAS conducts double-anonymized peer review.
    • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two subject-matter experts.
    • Initial feedback is typically provided within 4–6 weeks.

Possible editorial decisions:
• Accept
• Minor revisions
• Major revisions
• Reject

Revised submissions must include a detailed response letter addressing all reviewer comments.

  1. Ethics and Publishing Policies

6.1 Plagiarism and Originality

  • All submissions are screened with Turnitin.
    • Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere.
    • Reuse of prior work without attribution (self-plagiarism) is not permitted.

6.2 Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose funding, affiliations, or personal interests that could influence the research.

6.3 Data Transparency

  • Authors are encouraged to make supporting data publicly available via repositories and provide access links in the manuscript.
