The Asia Sustainable Development Research Center (ASDRC) is pleased to invite esteemed academics and practitioners from around the world to attend the 2025 International Academic Conference in Chongqing, China, from November 15 to 17. This year’s conference theme, “Urban Life from a Sustainable Perspective,” will bring together leading research and applied practice across disciplines to discuss how to create resource-efficient, ecologically friendly, and inclusive urban environments through innovation in technology, design, and policy.

Chongqing, a vibrant city rich in culture, history, and rapid modernization, provides an inspiring backdrop for discussions on sustainable urban living.

Scope of the Conference

This conference seeks contributions from multiple disciplines with relevance to sustainable urban life. We encourage submissions from researchers and practitioners across the following fields, as well as related areas:

  • Computer Science: Smart city technologies, big data applications in environmental management
  • Media Studies: Green communication, environmental awareness, the role of media in sustainability
  • Architecture: Sustainable building design, life-cycle analysis of building materials
  • Urban Planning: Resource optimization and sustainable development strategies
  • Interior Design: Energy-efficient interior design, sustainable materials in décor
  • Environmental Science: Urban ecosystems, pollution management, climate change in urban settings
  • Psychology: Mental health in urban life, the impact of public spaces on well-being
  • Transportation Science: Low-carbon transportation planning, smart transportation systems
  • Economics: Green economic policies, sustainable investment and financing models

Call for Papers

We invite scholars to submit original research within these fields and related interdisciplinary topics. Submissions are encouraged in the following (but not limited to) areas:

  3. Research on green building materials and eco-friendly construction techniques

  5. Applications of big data in urban resource and environmental management
  6. Policy and technical advancements in intelligent green transportation systems
  7. Media strategies for public environmental awareness
  8. Sustainable design’s role in future lifestyles and urban development
  9. The role of digital technology in environmental monitoring and policy
  10. Mechanisms and policy frameworks for urban ecosystem protection

Paper Submission and Key Dates

Please submit your research in PDF format to contact@press.jandoo.ac with the subject line “2025 ASDRC Conference Submission.” All submissions will undergo peer review, and outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in our supporting journals, JSBE and JGTSS.

  • Notification of Acceptance: October 15, 2025
