The Journal of Global Trends in Social Science (JGTSS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in scholarly publishing. Our publication ethics are guided by the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and reflect our dedication to fostering an ethical and responsible academic community.

  1. Authorship and Contributorship
    • Authorship: Authors listed on a manuscript must have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.
    • Acknowledgment of Contributions: Contributions from individuals who do not meet authorship criteria (e.g., technical assistance or editorial help) should be acknowledged in the manuscript.
    • Corresponding Author: The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors approve the final manuscript before submission and publication.
  2. Handling Complaints and Appeals
    • JGTSS provides a fair and transparent process for handling complaints and appeals.
    • Complaints or appeals regarding editorial decisions, publication processes, or ethical concerns can be directed to the journal’s editorial office at contact@press.jandoo.ac.
    • Appeals are reviewed by the editor-in-chief in consultation with the editorial board or external experts where necessary.
  3. Conflicts of Interest / Competing Interests
    • Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence their work.
    • If a conflict of interest is identified, JGTSS will take appropriate action, which may include disclosing the conflict in the publication or appointing alternative reviewers/editors.
  4. Data Sharing and Reproducibility
    • Authors must ensure that all data supporting the findings of their study are available and reproducible by others.
    • Authors are encouraged to deposit their data in publicly accessible repositories and include links or DOIs to these datasets in their articles.
    • JGTSS supports transparency and openness to facilitate reproducibility and verification of research results.
  5. Ethical Oversight
    • All research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with relevant ethical standards and legal requirements.
    • Authors must include a statement in their manuscript confirming that all necessary ethical approvals and informed consents were obtained.
    • The editorial team reserves the right to reject any submission that does not meet ethical standards.
  6. Intellectual Property
    • Authors must ensure that their work is original and does not infringe on any copyright or intellectual property rights.
    • Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited. All submissions are checked for originality using Turnitin.
    • Copyright for all published articles is retained by the authors under a CC BY 4.0 license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction with proper attribution.
  7. Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections
    • JGTSS encourages post-publication discussions and welcomes feedback from the academic community to improve the quality of its published content.
    • Authors may request corrections or retractions if significant errors are identified post-publication.
    • Readers can report concerns about published content to the editorial office, and the journal will investigate following COPE guidelines.
